Throughout this course, I’ll be your guide, sharing my techniques for crafting beautiful textures in Substance Painter. We’ll embark on a two-part adventure, exploring the basics while texturing a pork cube and uncovering more secrets behind the creation of a mesmerizing dagger. Each part offers its unique challenges, catering to various skill levels.
While prior familiarity with Substance Painter is advantageous, don’t worry if you’re still finding your footing. I’ll ensure that we cover the essentials to get you up to speed.
Our primary focus throughout this course is the art of hand-painting textures in Substance Painter and understanding the broader texturing process. With a total runtime exceeding 3 hours and 30 minutes, you’ll have ample time to absorb the knowledge and master the techniques presented.
In our creative toolkit, we’ll employ versatile software like Blender and Photoshop for different project components. However, feel free to use your preferred 3D and 2D software for similar tasks, except for one aspect where we’ll craft a stylized shader in Blender for a 3D presentation.
