The Inkscape Short Collection is a collection of short Inkscape classes (under 1 hour), which target specific features and tools of Inkscape.

The classes in this collection will mainly focus on intermediate to advanced Inkscape topics, so if you’re completely new to Inkscape, I highly recommend first checking out one of my full Inkscape courses, such as Inkscape Deep Dive or Inkscape Essentials.

In this class, we’ll be using Inkscape to create a seal logo, which will involve plenty of shape and text manipulation. After that, we’ll create two mockups for our logo, one to make the logo look like a patch on fabric and one to make it look like a wood engraving. We’ll be able to use these mockups to make our logo look really nice and put it on display for potential clients!

In this class, we’ll learn how to use Inkscape to create text effects that are completely editable and customizable at any time, so we no longer have to worry about spelling mistakes or choosing the best font straightaway. We’ll start by learning the special techniques that we’ll need (which require Inkscape version 1.3 or above), then we’ll use the techniques to create four amazing effects.

Unleash the power of Inkscape’s Shape Builder Tool!
With the amazing Shape Builder Tool (introduced in Inkscape 1.3), we can easily turn grids into a polished and professional looking designs. In this class, we’ll first learn exactly how the Shape Builder Tool works. Then we’ll see how to use it to create designs with a variety of grids, including grid templates that Inkscape provides for us, isometric and polar grid extensions, and our own custom grids for more complex designs.
