Welcome to this hospitality course!
This course ‘Hospitality and tourism marketing for beginners’ is a beginner friendly course on the basics of marketing within the hospitality industry. But of course, more experienced students are welcome as well.
Together we will discuss all the basics of hospitality marketing and why it is somewhat different from other industries. By the end of this course you will have a solid foundation and basic understanding of what marketing means in this industry.
We will discuss the role of the marketing manager and his team and how marketing budgets are spend. We will talk about what marketing is and the importance of developing a marketing culture within your property. Together we are going to have a closer look at why hospitality marketing is a challenge. It has everything to do with the intangibility, perishability, heterogeneity and simultaneous creation of the service.
You’ll learn what the hospitality product is and how the customers in our industry think. Ever heard of the 4 Ps, well in the tourism industry we go with the Cs of hospitality. Also we will have look a the marketing mix and marketing hospitality mix to make sure we understand what is needed to develop the right product for our guests.
