DescriptionThis course will first show you the simple basics of using Maya, and that includes navigating the viewport using Maya’s 3D camera, getting familiar with where the modelling tools are located, and how to manipulate objects within your Maya scene.Next, you will learn how to use Maya’s most common modelling tools to create a 3D character. Some of the tools will be used many times, and this will give you the experience needed to become an expert in using the tools, and build your confidence in becoming a professional modeller. The character you will be creating is a one-eyed humanoid robot with two arms, two legs, and a cylindrical body.Then you will learn how to duplicate, and mirror some of the body parts in a technique that speeds up your workflow. Finally, in the modelling stage, you will learn how to pose the character in order to make your character look more interesting.And in the final process, you will learn how to use Maya’s lights to light the character, and also how to render the character using Maya’s built-in renderer known as Arnold.
